Tilmicosin Phosphate

Composition:
Tilmicosin (As Tilmicosin Phosphate)        250 mg

Indication: GENTIL VET is indicated for the control and treatment of respiratory infections associated with tilmicosin-susceptible micro-organisms such as mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, a Atinomyces pyogenes and mannheimia heimolitica.

Mode of action: Tilmicosin is broad-spectrum semi-synthetic bactericidal macrolide antibiotic synthesized form tylosin. It has an antibacterial spectrum that is predominantly effective against mycoplasma, Pasteurella and haemophillus spp. Various gram-positive organisms such as Corynebacterium spp.
It is believed to effect bacterial protein synthesis through binding 50S ribosomal subunits. Cross-resistance between tilmicosin and other macrolide antibiotic has been observed.
 
Dosage: For oral use
Poultry: 300 ml per 1000 liters of drinking water (75 ppm) for 3-5 days.
Calves: Twice Daily, 1 ml per 20 kg body weight via (artificial) milk for 3-5 days.

Withdrawal Period: Meat-7 day & Egg-1 day.

Presentation: 100 ml, 500 ml, 1000 ml.

Storage: Store below 30° C temperature and dry place, protected from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
